Reds owner Sean Lewis has a meeting with the Football League yesterday and made positive strides towards getting our League share transferred.
On the official club site, Lewis said: "The meeting with the League was excellent and went very, very well. We have a few small items of paperwork that we have in the next day or so.
"Tony Scholes, our consultant, came with me and we met with Tad Detko, the League’s finance director, to go through the paperwork prepared by Chris Patzelt. We seemed happy and assured that the situation will get resolved shortly.
"The League have seen our business plan, our cash-flow projections and details of our future investment and they have seen and heard that we want to take Barnsley Football Club to a brighter future.
"Although we still have to touch base with the Football Association and PFA to finish things, we hope to be able to make a formal announcement in the very near future".
