Barnsley are set for an upheaval behind the scenes as new manager Keith Hill continues to stamp his mark on the club.
On his arrival from Rochdale, Hill brought his trusty assistant David Flitcroft and now others are also set to arrive with former manager Mark Robins’ “men” heading out the exit door.
Hill told the Star:
“We’re in discussions about coaching staff, so we’ll see what happens there,”
This will mean departures for first team coaches Nick Daws and Steve Taylor along with goalkeeping coach, former Sheffield United stopper Simon Tracey. Former assistant John Breckin left along with Robins last month. Physio Chris Burton who is now working under his third manager since arriving in 2009 is expected to stay.
Meanwhile striker Liam Dickinson has been released from the club after an ill fated one year stay.
25 year old Dickinson was a surprise £100,000 signing from Brighton last summer but failed to make any sort of impact in just three appearances for the Oakwell side and ironically he finished the season playing under Keith Hill, on loan at Rochdale where the striker made 14 goal-less appearances. He also had a short stint at Walsall during the 2010-2011 season.
