Well it looks like Jamie Ward is finally going to get his Championship move to a South Yorkshire club but it is a promotion battle with Sheffield United he is set to face rather than a relegation scrap at Barnsley.
The 22 year old League Two top-scorer saw a move to Oakwell break down after asking for too high wages after The Reds had agreed a £400,000 fee with his club Chesterfield.
But now Blades boss Kevin Blackwell has come in with that same fee, and Ward will head to Bramall Lane within the next 24 hours to discuss terms.
Ward has hit 14 goals for the Spireites this season but is yet to notch one in 2009.
