Sheffield United have parted company with former Barnsley boss Danny Wilson and have placed former Reds defender Chris Morgan in charge until the end of the season.
Wilson took charge of the Blades following their relegation from the Championship in May 2011 and took them all the way to the League One play-off final, where they were defeated on penalties by Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield.
Wilson guided the Reds into the Premier League for the first time in their history in 1997 and after just one season saw his side relegated and then left for Sheffield Wednesday.
The Blades look set for another appearance at this season's play-off showdown, sitting in 5th place with 70 points, four points inside the top 6 with five games remaining.
35-year-old, Barnsley born Morgan, who will be in charge at Bramall Lane until the end of the campaign left the Reds for the Blades in 2003 and his name was forever tarnished in the eyes of Barnsley fans after his sickening elbow hospitalised £1.2m signing Iain Hume in 2008.
