Barnsley have today confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Iain Turner as back up to current number one Luke Steele for the rest of the season.
The 30 year old was available on a free transfer and has been training at Oakwell for the past two weeks.
Turner started his career with Stirling Albion in Scotland and spent eight years at Everton between 2003 and 2011.
The former Scotland Under 21 international managed only four appearances with the Merseysiders however and had loan spells at Chester, Doncaster, Wycombe, Crystal Palace, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest, Coventry and Preston before joining the Deepdale outfit on a permanent basis in 2011.
