“I thought that was a tough game for both sides for different reasons,”
“Bradford are a good team with good players, changed their shape and have added quality to what they already have.
“I knew before the game it would be really tough with two contrasting styles but I thought it was a good game and a good advert for the Football League.
“There weren’t as many shots as people would have liked but I think everyone appreciated it was a good game all round.”
“I thought there were lots of positives. The way we moved the ball at times was demoralising and we certainly controlled the tempo and recycled the ball well.
“I’m upset because we wanted the win but generally knowing that it is a decent point. We couldn’t quite get a goal when we were dominating and we were unfortunate not to nick it."
“It’s a good start defensively for Alfie Mawson and Marc Roberts. It’s important to remember they haven’t played at this level before and they won’t come against too many strikers as physically strong as James Hanson.
“I was very pleased with the way they came out of it, they controlled the possession, took the ball and were brave. This team does need time to link but the little one percent’s will soon add up."
“The one criticism I had of us today is that at times we got a little bit sloppy and started enjoying the possession.
“I was saying at half-time to the lads the devil is in the detail because we didn’t get in behind them enough and ultimately that wasn’t enough.
“We’re competing in every game. We know it’s a side that is working progress and we have to look to achieve and the dream is promotion, but we have to work hard to achieve that dream."
