"It was a bitter pill to swallow at the end really and I really feel for Paul (Reid) because apart from the goal he was outstanding. He was turned a little too easily but the lads did not help him. They switched off.
"I asked them afterwards whether it was a physical thing at the end of games but they said that they felt fine in the closing stages so it must be a mental problem. We have to stay switched on for 96 or so minutes or however long the game goes on.
"I could not have a go at them in terms of their effort or determination and we did have chances in the second half that we should have put away. We did not do that again.
"We have to pull together now and we are not a million miles away".
