"I was pleased for the players really, the team we have put out, it is going to be different next year of course. We need to see whether or not those guys can sink or swim basically and I thought they did alright. As a group it is fantastic for the club. Five or six academy graduates in the squad and about the place.
"They are a decent side, I thought our fans were very good. They showed they were educated enough to realise that for the greater good of the club, people needed encouragement, even when they did not have a good mini spell. That is what was really pleasing for me, they did not get on their back, they could have done. When that person or that player did something good they gave them sort of an extra clap if you like. That shows that everyone understands what we are trying to do and that everyone understands the situation we are in.
"I thought Luke Berry did well, he has been unlucky really, obviously he has come in and we have got one of the strongest midfields in the league. He has found himself out of it through no fault of his own. He has trained well every day."
"We take it on a game by game basis, I think it would be fair to say that over the next week I'll be telling players whether or not I intend to retain their services or not. Some have been told already, but I won't expose or release at the moment. It is better to plan early and I am just really excited about next year because I know we will be able to get the quality to supplement what we have already."
