"I'm pleased with the performance, pleased with the progress we're making," he said.
"It's encouraging from my point of view. I'm enthusiast about the future, looking at what we've go - obviously the recruitment of other players, not just from outside of Barnsley but from within the Academy as well.
"(It's) Scant reward from two home games - two performances that I thought merited six points. I'm disappointed on reflection of results but results will improve as a consequence to them performances and the belief in the squad.
"Two clean sheets would have had us six points from the last two games.
"I can really see the light at the end of the tunnel. I've come here to do a job, it's my process and I'm happy with the way things are formulating and improving."
