"It was almost a decent performance today. The disappointing thing is that it was a game which was there for the taking really. "It was a nothing match for most of the first half and needed someone to light the blue touch paper. Unfortunately for us it was Craig Bellamy that did it.
"I thought our final ball and final delivery at times was not brilliant and some of our finishing was wayward. We limited Cardiff to nothing really.
"The penalty was brilliantly saved although I do not know whether it should have been given. His arm was up there and you cannot defend that but think back to the opening day at QPR and the one that wasn't given.
"It was almost a decent performance. Almost.
"They had one shot in the first half and Bellamy put it away. There are not many people at this level who could have done that but he is an international footballer of the highest quality.
"We have some things to work on and we will spend the break working on the basics.
"We have dropped down in the table but I am not massively disheartened because I have seen enough to know we have a decent team here. We will work to be ready for the Nottingham Forest game and there are some things to do before then.
"Garry O'Connor's loan ends on the seventh so that was his last game. We will speak about things and decide what to do on that.
"There was some good stuff and some poor stuff today. We are almost a good side but I do not want us to be a nearly team".
