"I thought it was a typical derby game and there was a lot of passion and commitment from both sides. The endeavour was there but there was not enough control or skill from either team. I have asked whether Sheffield Wednesday beat us or did we beat ourselves? I think we beat ourselves today.
"We conceded two poor goals but we had the ball in their area enough to probably warrant something a bit more. I thought we had some great shouts for penalties today and probably should have had two. That is our third defeat on the spin now and we need to put the wood in the door again.
"I am disappointed to lose a local derby. It was played in a great atmosphere but we were on the wrong end of the result. It looked like we could have had two penalties.
"I am not saying that we were not up for the game today but we should have been stronger in the challenges that led to both goals. There was not a lot of football played and it was more back to front by both sides. Both sides wanted to win but I thought Sheffield Wednesday probably wanted it more in their penalty area.
"We have to make one of those balls into their box count and that was the difference today. I do not think we deserved to lose the game".
