"The three points was the most important thing from today and to bounce back from the defeat at Crawley last week.
The lads have done great. It was a bit edgy in the first half, but that was always going to be the way after last week's result, but they stuck to their task. Adam pulled off a good save in the first half. Once we got the goal if I'm being honest there was only going to be one winner which is all credit to the lads who worked their socks off.
"Crewe have had a difficult schedule. Steve has a good group of players who have been on a good run but we really restricted them to hardly nothing. You know when you get the first goal teams are going to chase, change their shape, which they did and it's a shape they're not used to playing which makes it even better for us to exploit more areas.
"The game plan at the start didn't really work so we brought more width on in the second half. Bringing O'Sullivan on was purely tactical, nothing to do with Conor's performance. We thought we needed that width and stretch them a little bit more which I thought we did.
"The attitude has been great from all the players this week, it was just the belief. Once the goal goes in and then the second you can see that belief which produced some good passages of play.
"I don't look at other results. We have to keep our own house in order. The players have to focus on what we need to do and then grind out the results and not worry what other teams are doing around us. If we are doing our job properly we will move up the league."
