"I thought we were better in the second half. We got closer to them after the break. There really was nothing in the game in the first half apart from the goal which was really a cross.
"We still had chances to score in the first half but we competed better in the second. We moved the ball better and I think we deserved it overall. It was difficult today because we had lost three players who have been instrumental in what we have done.
"Middlesbrough came here and made it difficult. We had to change it and I thought Jacob Butterfield came in and did that. We had more balance in the second half and scored two very good goals. We stuck to our task today and did very, very well in the end.
"We upped our game in the second half and got our just rewards. It is a great end to the year and one that sets us up nicely".
