"From the off we really took the game to them and if it were three or four at half time then no one could have had any complaints. The players were fantastic and we deserved that. It is our second local derby win on the bounce.
"We played on Saturday teatime and had to make three changes so tiredness cannot be an excuse for anyone tonight. We have won the game and we deserved to.
"It was a bit hairy at times but you will always get that in a local derby.
"I think the lad deserved to go and he could have broken Rob Kozluk's leg with a challenge like that. That kind of tackle should have no place in the game.
"We needed three points but we have to take it on and move forward. We thoroughly deserved that and we were the better side".
