"Firstly, I'm delighted with the result. I thought as the game went on we got better and better. We started the game really brightly in the first 10 to 15 minutes, and I am just delighted with the outcome.
"I thought the first goal was always going to be the most important for either team, and I'm sure Alan (Stubbs) will say the same. We felt we had the better opportunities in the first half, but without dominating the game, it was pretty even."
"Second half we asked for that little bit more quality, not for them to do anything different, just do it better!"
"The turning point was the goal, and then the second in quick succession as well! Then we were able to be a threat on the counter as well as being able to take the sting out of the game by keeping the ball."
"The goals were massive, then as the game went on we just looked better and better.
"We talk about it a lot that goals change games, but another one of the most important things is the clean sheet. As a team, we defended really well to a man."
