Today we have managed to get a point away from home and we didn't lose it which is important. They came to spoil it today as they are fighting for their lives but having said that we didn't move the ball quickly enough. We tried to get as much fire power on the pitch as possible but goal scoring is an art and it is something that doesn't just happen, you have to work hard at it. We must move the ball quickly, work hard and fight when we have to in order to cause the opposition problems and we did fight today but it was a poor game overall. It was a difficult game and unfortunately one that passed us by. It was a game that was full of blocks and tackles, that's what type of game it was. A massive plus today was the return of Jay McEveley who has been out for so long and he's in great shape and tribute has to be paid to him and the physio and they have worked very hard during rehabilitation. He was bright and clever and he sat in position well during the game.
Another massive plus is the clean sheet, even though there wasn't too many chances created. Steven Bennett got a taster of first team action following his hatrick in the reserves. Nathan Doyle was fit to play but he hasn't trained and Jacob Mellis only trained yesterday, so he was taken off as a precaution to give him a breather for Tuesday night for our match at home to Scunthorpe."
