"We were delighted to take the lead, but got pegged back and had a dubious penalty against us. I thought it was a good game of football with two commited sides who gave the supporters everything and ran their socks off. There was a decent bit of quality in the game and some decent goals.
"We need to be a bit better and make correct decisions, but overall I was pleased with the spirit and effort.
"There were good chances for us. Garry O'Connor's work rate was much better and he worked a lot harder for the team. If he continues to work as hard as that then the performances will come and the goals will follow. He was a bit unlucky with the chance he had. We had plenty of chances to win and we had done enough to win the game I thought.
"I'm pleased for Kieran because he has got his first League goal and it was a good game to get it in.
"It looks like we have picked a couple more injuries up tonight. Nathan Doyle came off at half time with a calf strain so we will assess him tomorrow, but I don't think he will be available for Saturday. Jacob Mellis had a tight hamstring so again we will have to wait and see tomorrow.
"We were competitive for the whole match and that's the first thing you need to do away from home. Sometimes it's not pretty and you can't play the type of football you want to play, but you need mix it up a bit and they did it tonight. We need to maintain that work rate and effort and perform in every game. I thought Leeds were strong and powerful and came at us and had more confidence in this game. If we had a bit more luck in front of goal we could have won."
