"It has been a long time coming. We could have and should have won before away from home but the longer a run like that goes on the more it becomes an issue with people and in the media. "We were a little bit fortunate at the end but it was nothing more than we deserved. We have not had much luck really this season and we had that slice tonight. Having said that we created plenty of chances and could have been out of sight by half time. "There are still things to work on but there were plenty of positive tonight.
"What it has done is given us a platform to build on for what is another tough test on Saturday. We will not get carried away win, lose or draw but we can take a lot of confidence from tonight"
