"I thought we worked really hard. We were a constant threat and had decent chances with lots of corners and attacks.
"We defended quite well apart from one of the goals and, on the balance of play, I thought we deserved it.
"To go to penalties is a lottery and you're looking for players to dig in. They showed the spirit today and our fans were noisier than their fans which was massive for the players. It was a great day for us.
"We did a lot of work on where we felt we could catch them. Adam's provided a quality goal. I was pleased for Ivan Toney as well.
"The ground was very draining and a lot of rain had come down, and I gave them a very hard week this week.

"As we go and get a couple more experienced players, that'll only get better.
"They're a big strong side. We had to compete and we stood up to them.
"I knew we have good penalty takers because we won a shootout at Scunthorpe and in training I see them all strike a clean ball.
"We've come through another mental challenge.
"I know the next round isn't until January. We need to focus on the league and can't think about Wembley or those games yet. We have some very important games starting Saturday at Colchester.
"If we put in a similar performance we'll have a chance of winning that game."
