Barnsley and Bradford share a goal-less draw for the second time in three clashes at Oakwell.
One or both teams have failed to score in three of the last four meetings overall.
Barnsley have now failed to score a first half goal in any of their past seven home matches and have scored only ONE in their past ten.
The Reds are unbeaten in their first two home games of a season for the first time since the 2012-2013 campaign. That is also the last time they had kept successive clean sheets in their opening two games at Oakwell (both 1-0 wins)
Just like last season, after losing their opening game of the season they have won two and drawn one of the next three.
If you include last season Barnsley have now had three successive home shutouts in a row at home
Barnsley did not use all three substitutions in a match for the first time in six games…. The last time was ironically at Bradford in April.
Barnsley sit in tenth spot in League One after four matches but they are the only side in the top half without a positive goal difference. The Reds is zero after scoring and conceding five goals. Their against column is the joint highest in the top half.
The Reds though are one of only five teams in the league yet to concede a home goal.
In Barnsley’s last home match they managed as little as two shots on target at home for the first time in 10 matches at Oakwell…. They again only had two on target yesterday.
They have only one goal from their first two home matches for the first time since 2011-2012.
Ironically last time out against Burton The Reds had two shots on target to the opposition’s five and two corners to Burton’s nine.
Yesterday Barnsley had two shots on target, Bradford four and two corners to Bradford’s nine.
It was another winless game for Bradford. They have failed to win any of their first five games in all competitions for the first time since 2011-2012.
