Barnsley 1-1 Doncaster

Last updated : 04 December 2014 By Rob Miles (BarnsleyBoy)

Barnsley have now gone three league games without a win and have won only two of the last eight.

Barnsley have opened the scoring in seven of their last nine matches, but they have gone on to win just three.

The Reds led at half time for the first time in seven league matches.

It was only the fifth time this season they have been in front at the break in the league but they have only gone on to win two of those and they have nowled at half time only six times in 23 games this season.

Theo Robinson’s equaliser means Barnsley have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their first 10 home league games of a season for the first time since 1935-1936.

The Reds have now conceded 21 goals in their ten home games in League One, the worst record in the entire Football League.

They have though scored in 12 games in a row in all competitions, their best run since netting in 16 successive games between 22nd December 2012 and 9th March 2013.

Lewin Nyatanga netted his second ever goal for Barnsley, and his first since joining permanently in July 2013.

His previous effort for The Reds came way back in March 2007 in a 4-2 victory at Plymouth whilst on loan from Derby.

Doncaster have now scored just one first half goal in their last six league games but this result means they are unbeaten in their last four away matches.

Each of the last three meetings between the two sides have now been draws.
