This will count as two points dropped as a late equaliser robbed Barnsley of back to back league victories for the first time since February.

Port Vale manager Darrell Clarke said:
“It is a very good point. I thought we had a couple of great chances in the first half, we created quite a few good chances during the game. They are obviously a threat, they have just beaten Sheffield Wednesday 2-0, but we more than did ourselves justice.
“We still created three very good chances before we got into it. You come to a place like Barnsley with a new developing group and I am not disappointed, I am pleased that we came here, we could have won it at the end.
