Barnsley fell to a last minute 2-1 defeat at Oakwell as Shrewsbury picked up their first win of the season.
The visitors went ahead in the sixth minute when Mark Ellis scrambled home a Liam Lawrence corner from a few yards out, with the linesman confirming that the ball had crossed the line.
Barnsley responded well and Marley Watkins should have equalised when he cut onto his left foot inside the box but Jayson Leutwiler got down well to make the save
Sam Winnall eventually equalised in the 38th minute with a fine finish after being picked out by Watkins. Shrewsbury started the second half well and had half chances through Jordan Clark and Junior Brown, but Adam Davies was not tested.
Barnsley went close, first through Winnall and then Kadeem Harris.
Winnall headed over after he met a Conor Hourihane corner in the 73rd minute and Harris cut inside but his goal-bound effort was blocked a couple of minutes later.
The visitors won the game in stoppage time as Jordan Clark found room in the box and his effort was deflected in off a defender
