Barnsley came from behind to win 4-1 and end Swindon's unbeaten away run.Two first-half goals gave Barnsley the lead after Lewin Nyatanga had earlier headed into his own net.
After the break, he then scored at the right end before Conor Hourihane sealed the win.
Swindon opened the scoring in the 20th minute following a moment of miscommunication in the Barnsley defence
After colliding with his onrushing goalkeeper, Nyatanga's attempted clearance trickled into the vacant net.
Town held the lead for less than three minutes as Marley Watkins broke the offside trap and calmly slotted the ball past Lawrence Vigouroux.
Under the watchful eye of Republic of Ireland assistant coach Roy Keane, Hourihane provided Barnsley's second just before half-time
The Irishman rolled the ball across to Reece Wabara, who fired the ball home from range.
Hourihane got his second assist with a curled ball across the six-yard-box and, atoning for his earlier mistake, Nyatanga (59) glanced the header into the far corner.
Hourihane rounded off a man-of-the-match performance by tapping in Barnsley's fourth after Josh Scowen's shot ricocheted off the bar 14 minutes from time
