Barnsley secured a goal-less draw for only the second time in 31 games. Last night was also only the third time in 13 league matches that they had been goal-less at half time.
It is their first clean sheet away from Oakwell in 16 games, since their last goal-less draw, in Danny Wilson’s first game back at the helm at Leeds in December.
Barnsley though failed to score on the road for the first time this season and the first time in seven away games overall but kept their first league clean sheet of the season.
Barnsley extended their best away run from the start of the season since 2011-2012. By avoiding defeat last night they have remained undefeated in all their first four away matches. In 2011-2012, they went unbeaten in the first five.
The Reds are also now unbeaten away from home for four successive matches for the first time since they did not lose any of their final four of the 2012-2013 season.
Barnsley have now drawn each of their past three away matches
Fleetwood have now gone three games without a goal since March and they have gone four home matches without a win for the first time since February 2013.
