Barnsley are off the mark away from home following coming from behind twice to secure a 2-2 draw at then league leaders Ipswich Town.
This was only the second time Ipswich have dropped points this season and the first time they have conceded more than one goal.
The last time it took this long to get off the mark away from home in a third tier season was 2005-2006 when they were pointless on the road until the fourth match, but went on to win promotion.
Overall this is the fourth successive season Barnsley have failed to win any of their first three away league matches.

This was Barnsley’s first draw in 13 matches (all comps) last having a stalemate at Swansea back on the 15th April (1-1)
It has taken eight matches (all comps) to draw in 2022-2023, the longest wait into a season for a stalemate since 2016-2017 (11)
Barnsley were forced into two first half substitutions, replacing Jordan Helliwell after 15minutes and Josh Benson after 41, the first time they have made two first half changes since August 2013 when Jacob Mellis (32) and Chris O’Grady (41) were replaced at Blackburn.
This was the first time Barnsley have come from 1-0 and then 2-1 down to rescue a game since an EFL Cup tie against Derby in September 2017, however the Reds actually went on to win that match 3-2.
It is the first time a Barnsley match has been 1-1 at half time and 2-2 at full time since August 2019 against Charlton.
The Reds two goals were both assisted by Luca Connell, the first Barnsley to claim two assists in a game since Carlton Morris against Middlesbrough in February.
Jack Aitchison grabbed Barnsley’s first equaliser, despite joining the club in October 2020 this was the striker’s first goal in a Barnsley shirt, in-between he has scored eight goals on loan at Stevenage and Forest Green.
Ipswich’s goals were scored by Conor Chaplin and Sam Morsy, the first ex Reds to net against them in a league game since Joe Rothwell for Blackburn in December 2021.
Barnsley had two substitutes booked (Matty Wolfe and James Norwood) the first time this has occurred since September 2021 at Stoke (Will Hondermarck and Victor Adeboyejo) The Reds have had a substitute booked in each of their last three matches (all comps)
Three of Barnsley’s four bookings in this game came in the last ten minutes, they have received seven yellow cards in the last 10 minutes of games this season (from a total of 15)
Barnsley have failed to win any of their last 12 meetings with Ipswich (D7 L5), with the last victory coming at Portman Road back in November 2010.
Six of the last nine meetings have been drawn.

Barnsley have conceded in each of the last 18 meetings, a total of 31 goals since a 0-0 draw in December 2007.
