Jacob Brown's last gasp strike ensured Barnsley went five points clear in second place in League One to spark delirium in the away end at Walsall.

It was Barnsley's latest match winning goal since Ryan Hedges netted in the 95th minute in a 4-3 League Cup win over Morecambe in August 2017 - it is the latest match winning strike in a league match since Ryan Williams scored in the 95th minute in a 4-3 win at Cardiff in December 2016.
It was however the eighth 90+minute goal Barnsley have scored in the league this season with Brown netting three of them.
Barnsley have had three games in a row with no goals scored or conceded inside 90 minutes for the first since April 2016 when they drew 0-0 at Burton, defeated Peterborough 1-0 with a 90th minute George Williams effort and then drew 0-0 at Sheffield United.
This was their SEVENTH successive clean sheet, something they have achieved for the first time in 64 years! Back in March/April 1955 they kept eight successive shut outs against Tranmere, Stockport, Hartlepool, Gateshead, Darlington, Chesterfield and Bradford x2 in Division Three North - winning all eight matches.
Adam Davies had kept the six previous clean sheets, with this being Jack Walton's second ever for the club.
This was the 17th time this season a Barnsley match has been goal-less at half time (all comps) and only the sixth time Barnsley have gone on to win.
It is the Reds most half-time 0-0s since 2016-2017 (also 17)
This was Barnsley's 20th league clean sheet of the season, the MOST in the top four tiers of English football.
It is the most clean sheets Barnsley have kept in one season since 1984-1985 (also 20)
Barnsley have the best defensive record in the EFL having only conceded 28 goals in 39 league games, at least three less goals than anybody else
This result extended Barnsley's unbeaten away run to night league matches, (W5 D4) their best run since a run of nine in 2016 (including play-offs semi-final) (W6 D3)
Excluding play-offs it is their best league run away from home since a run of 10 between April and November 1996 (W5 D5)
This result extended Barnsley's unbeaten league run to 19 games (W12 D7), last going longer without a loss in January 1981 (20 matches).
Only Luton Town (26) are currently on a longer unbeaten run across the top four tiers.
Barnsley have gone unbeaten in their first 15 league games of a calendar year (W9 D6) for the first time since 1934 when after being defeated 4-2 by Wrexham on the 30th December 1933 they then did not lose again that season (21 unbeaten between 1st January 1934 - 5th May 1934 - W16 D5)
Alex Mowatt has now be involved in 26 scoring attacks for Barnsley this season as he played the ball to Brown to score at the second attempt.
Brown scored the goal in his first game back after a three match ban - the first Reds player to score in his first game back after receiving a red card since Dale Jennings in 2014-2015 who was sent off in the season opening 1-0 defeat to Crawley but then scored on his return in a 4-1 win over Gillingham.
That was Barnsley's 35th away league goal of the season - the joint most away goals in the division along with Portsmouth, whilst only Norwich and Lincoln have scored more in the EFL (36)
It also secured Barnsley's 10th away league win of the season, their most since winning 11 in 2015-2016.
Including play-offs Barnsley have now won three games in a row at Walsall for the first time ever, and have won four of the past five visits. Overall Barnsley have won four of the last five meetings with the only blip being the draw at Oakwell back in September.
Including play-offs, Barnsley have only lost two of their last 12 league visits to Walsall (W7 D3).
Barnsley now have 78 points, their most in a season since 1999-2000 when they finished with 82 in the second tier.
Walsall have lost 10 of their 13 league games in 2019 (W3 D1), including each of their last three - only Bolton Wanderers (10), Fulham (10) and Yeovil Town (12) have lost more across the top four tiers since the turn of the year.
Barnsley had 57% ball possession, out of 20 away league matches in 2018-2019 they have had the most ball possession in 16 of them.

Walsall manager Dean Keates said:

“We created chances and that shows where we are at the moment – a little bit of naivety and not being ruthless enough with the opportunities.
“If it was two or three nil, I don’t think anyone could have moaned at the score.
“We created opportunities and set traps on where we could counter on them.
“They like to keep you penned in and put their game on to you. We flipped it and looked to put our game onto them.
“It’s disappointing. A massive, massive body blow.
“We’ve got some massive games coming up and if we keep performing like that, and produce those 90-minute performances, something will turn and go in our favour.”
